“As a MD/PhD student without a home residency program in neurosurgery, being involved with BSG and NERVE has been an excellent opportunity to form connections in the neurosurgical community and take part in clinical neurosurgery research while completing my PhD. The students, residents, and faculty I have met through BSG and NERVE have all been welcoming, hard-working, and passionate about providing students from diverse backgrounds opportunities to get involved in this incredible field, and working with this community has been the highlight of my medical student experience.”
